Prayer Walkin on Studentų

One of our goals for ministry in Kuanas this semester was to physically be on campus 8 hours a week. One of the ways that we try to fulfill this goal is to do prayer walks. What in the world is a prayer walk? Great question. Well it involves lots of prayer and walking henceforth the name. We often go up to Studentu street where most of Kaunas Tech's campus is located. We sometimes have specific things we pray for like the struggles students face or that God would open their eyes so that they may sees how much He loves them. Other times we just pray for whatever God puts on our hearts or for students that we walk by. One of my favorites is to ask that God would break my heart for the students here as I walk around and see their faces. One time we tried asking students if there was anything we could pray for in their lives, but well lets just say they thought it was weird and were confused. So we learned from that experience. So that is a prayer walk and here are some photos so you can feel like you were there. As you look at them please join us in praying for students here in Kaunas. Ask God to meet there needs and ask Him to show them how amazingly beautiful He is.

We wanted to write briefly about our Christmas party. We held the party last friday night at Matt and Sharon’s place. It was a great night of
building relationships and reminding students
the reason we actually celebrate Christmas.
Matt made white bean chili, we played some
differentice breaker games and then showed the Charlie Brown Christmas film. Matt also shared about who Agape is and the international nature of the gospel story. It was pretty cool to be in a room with people from Lithuania, Germany, Spain, Poland, and the U.S. We read through the Christmas story in Luke with different languages each reading some verses. All and all a wonderful night. God has graciously provided us with many relationships with the existing christian community in Kaunas. Many of the people at the party were friends we have made at our church. We are excited that God has provided these friends yet still praying that God will show us how to better impact and reach the students on
campus who don’t know Jesus. We also had the
joy of working together as a team for the first time. What a joy to be able to have 7 different people coming with unique gifts each released to work together to make an event happen. Very fun to part of it all.

Thanks for all your payers. We are very thankful.

Welcome to Kaunas. This blog will be your window into another country, and what God is doing here through our team. We are a team of seven young men and women who are dedicated to God and to the Good News of His son Jesus Christ, who sacrificed His life to pay the debt, caused by our sin, that we could not. Because of His act of Love, and Grace we are able to spend eternity with Him in Heaven, rather than eternal torment because of our sin. Our decisions to accept the sacrifice of Jesus and His authority in our lives has drasticly changed each one of us. We have come to this beautiful city becasue God has called us to take part in His Great Commission of telling others about the free gift He offers. Our primary focus is the University Students of Kaunas, Lithuania. We are currently building a new ministry here, and need your prayers. We have found this time of year difficult, in that, the students are extremely busy and don't have much time due to finals coming up. Please pray for the students of Kaunas as they prepare for thier exams. This Friday we will be having a Christmas Party. It will be a wonderful time of eating, playing games, sharing the Christmas Story, and building relationships. Please pray that 20 students will come, that the Gospel will presented clearly, and some strong relationships will be built. We will be updating this blog weekly to let you know what is happening in this ministry and how you can be praying for it and us.
